A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

What would you do if you knew someone you love might be in danger?

Meredith never really loved before - not before she met Iris, the sweet artistic girl who was the only one trying to see behind her odd and cold facade. Not knowing how to confess her feelings, Mer could only watch as her more confident brother, Alfred, took her love away from her.

But there's more to the story than this - a centuries long tale about people capable of manipulating dreams... and people willing to do anything for this power. As a Heartling - the most powerful person in Oneiron, the realm of dreams - Iris is exposed to a danger that's lurking way, way too close.

And she doesn't know that yet.

Plagued by nightmares, Meredith decides to get things she knows off of her chest. What she'll say, and how the conversation will go, depends entirely on your choices.

["Blood in the Wine is the first game in Oneiron series. All Oneiron games can be played as standalone titles, however, if you want more from the same universe, you might enjoy the next entry in the series, "Tourist in the Waking World".]

Really tense and beautiful story! I enjoy the different card readings. The fact that they all lead to the protagonist resonating badly with them probably says a lot about how strong her guilt and attraction is.

I get the same run-time error at the line "in the end, the one who killed her wasn't....(spoilers)" on each route, which I don't think is intentional, but it actually comes at the perfect moment. The note.text displayed inside the error seems like an aside from the rest of the narration that's meant to be obscured, so... Maybe it's ludonarrative genius :3

To double-check, is the story meant to end with "it was me" or is there meant to be more that's getting cut off?

Hi hi! First of all, thank you for playing <3 Now, to answer the questions. No, the error isn't intentional, I wasn't aware it's happening. This is a result of a bit of code that would leave a "note.txt" file in your game files, which then could be found and read as a bit of an easter egg. This was the first ever project I made almost 3 years ago and it worked back then, so I assume something must've changed or get messed up along the way; fixing it isn't my priority now but I'll get to it once I have a slower day.

And when it comes to the ending, it does end on "It was me", so you're not missing anything, don't worry.

Anyway, once more, thank you for playing <3 Didn't think BitW will still receive some love after all this time

Oh, that makes sense, thank you. I can imagine it being a cool easter egg to find in the files. I'm happy I got to read it, since it enriches the ending a lot. My computer had an update or two in between initially downloading the game, which could be why the script didn't execute as intended.

I guess I am a few years late to the party here haha! I've had downloaded for a while and finally got around to reading. I had a wonderful time! Thank you so much for sharing your stories. I'm very curious to read more of your work :3

This was a very interesting read that had me eager for more. I really liked the lore being very plainly implemented in the world, mixed with situation at hand. Will hopefully have more to say about the rest of the universe soon!
